Developing under-represented talent with Box

Leading cloud content management platform, Box, have engaged with my2be to help deliver employee success across their organisation with a focus on developing under-represented talent.

Box is a company that truly appreciates the value of their people and they recognise that they have the opportunity to do more to develop under-represented talent within the organisation.

my2be delivered an initial consultancy to Box to understand their organisational challenges and requirements in order to harness the power of their people and deliver employee success through my2be’s intelligent People Success Platform.

Together, we looked at previous and existing initiatives and programmes within the organisation to see where they had both failed and succeeded. With the expertise of my2be, this lead to the development of a Mentoring program focussing on developing under-represented talent within the organisation.

Providing materials and expertise, my2be were able to help overcome challenges of such a program including; engagement, onboarding, matching, connecting, scale, and more.

After delivering the initial consultancy, my2be onboarded the first cohort of Boxers onto the my2be platform where they can connect and engage with peers, mentors and mentees from cross locations, set objectives, organise meetings, and measure their development, remotely and at scale.

“Working with my2be has been incredibly helpful as we’ve run our company mentorship program. The team has gone above and beyond in the early stages of program development via consulting, providing expertise and sharing best practices they’ve seen work with other companies. I’ve been impressed with how personalized the experience has been. My2be is great at listening to our unique company challenges and capturing what’s most important in the modifications to the my2be platform. They have also made in the moment adjustments to the platform to enhance the user experience. As a program manager of the internal mentorship program, this has made rolling it out a seamless experience and has demonstrated to the users that the my2be team is committed to closely partnering with us to ensure our success. We’re grateful for all the thoughtfulness and all the work my2be has provided in getting our program running!”

With the world shifting to remote working as a result of COVID-19, serendipitous connections, and water cooler moments have all but disappeared whilst organisations struggle to develop remote strategies for employee engagement, peer learning, and employee development. The program developed with Box has overcome some of these challenges connecting under-represented talent with people, mentors and opportunities they otherwise wouldn’t have accessed.
